My Dearest God,

I pray that Sarah will have a deep reverence for You and Your ways. May Sarah hide Your Word in her heart like a treasure, and seek after understanding like silver or gold. Give Sarah a good mind, a teachable spirit and an ability to learn.

Instill in Sarah a desire to attain knowledge and skill, and may Sarah have joy in the process. Above all, I pray that Sarah will be taught by You, for Your Word says that when our children are taught by You they are guaranteed peace.

I pray Sarah will respect the wisdom of Brock and myself and be willing to be taught by us. May Sarah also have the desire to be taught by the teachers Your bring into her life. Handpick each one, Lord, and may they be godly people from whom she can easily learn. Let Sarah find favor with her teachers and have good communication with them. Help Sarah to excel in school and do well in any classes she may take. Make the pathways of learning smooth and continue to bless her with clarity of thought, strong organizational skills, good memory and a strong learning ability.

I say to Sarah according to Your Word, "Apply your heart to instruction, and your ears to words of knowledge" (Proverbs 23:12). "May the Lord give you understanding in all things" (2 Timothy 2:7). Lord enable Sarah to experience the joy of learning more about You and Your world.

"My son, if you receive my words, and treasure my commands within you, so that you incline your ear to wisdom, and apply your heart to understanding; yes, if you cry out for discernment, and lift up your voice for understanding, if you seek her as silver, and search for her as for hidden treasures; then you will understand the fear of the Lord, and find the knowledge of God." (Proverbs 2:1-5)
